Our relationship with food is a great indicator of the patterns we play out in our relationship with ourselves and others. Do you believe you deserve this nourishment, deprive yourself of it, or over-indulge? Furthermore, bloating, gas, and difficult bowel movements are not a "normal" part of digestion. My mission is to encourage you to be an ACTIVE participant in your own healing, easing digestion woes and finding nourishment that will work for you and only you; leaving you feeling more comfortable in your own skin and energized all day so you can go out and be an ACTIVE member in your world.
We all want to look and feel our very best so we can then go out into the world and shine. How would you like to have easier digestion and feel better about the way you look and stop feeling like every day is a battle against your body? I have learned through my own travels as a health coach, therapist, astrologist, and yoga teacher that we are all struggling with something. By taking a closer look at past experiences back to childhood and first experiences of emptiness and fullness, can we identify areas that need attention and some healing energy. As a Health Coach and budding Body Psychotherapist, I have studied all the major dietary theories and will help you discover what approach works best for you and only you at this point in your life by tuning back into your internal world and listening to your body's messages. I have also studied extensively all the factors contributing to proper digestion, not just physically but spiritually and emotionally as well. My goal is to foster intuitive eating while stressing bio-individuality, coming back to the body while nourishing yourself to discover what makes you feel good and settles well in your system. Learning how to nourish yourself physically and emotionally with respect to your body will ultimately lead to healing internally and externally.
I truly believe that digestion of nourishment is not just from the food we put into our body but also the way we are feeding our gut brain. We actually have a second brain in our gut that can function entirely separate from the brain in our heads. Thus, how we are eating is just as important as what we are eating. While most dietitians dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictions and lists of good and bad foods, I will work with you to create a flexible way to feed your body and your second brain (your gut), healthier foods and messages. How you live your life ultimately will effect what you put into your body and vice versa. The more positivity you put in the more you will want to engage and be active in your world.
No one diet works for everyone. Stop comparing yourself to everyone else around you. Compare and despair. This only increases low self esteem and will ultimately not help you in finding what works best for you and your unique system. I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you and only you. I will also help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals. Kiss dieting goodbye, forever. I am here as a guide to help you be an ACTIVE participant in your own healing.
